Privacy Policy

Purpose

The privacy Statement is made by Bounce Consulting Pty Ltd ABN 67 149 963 931, trading as Bounce Global (Bounce, us or we).

Bounce Global is committed to protecting the privacy and personal information of all individuals in accordance with the following laws and principles:

  • Privacy Act 1988 (Cth)
  • Privacy Legislation Amendment (Enforcement and Other Measures) Act 2022 (Cth)
  • Australian Privacy Principles (APPs)
  • Privacy and Data Protection Act 2014 (Vic)
  • Health Records Act 2001 (Vic)

The 2022 amendments to the Privacy Act significantly strengthened privacy protections in Australia. Key updates include:

  • Increased Penalties: Serious or repeated breaches of privacy may result in penalties of up to $50 million or more, depending on turnover and harm caused.
  • Expanded OAIC Powers: The Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) has broader enforcement powers, including the ability to issue infringement notices, require corrective action, and compel third-party information.
  • Greater Information Sharing: The OAIC can now share information with other regulatory bodies to manage systemic risks or large-scale breaches.
  • Clearer Global Jurisdiction: The law now explicitly applies to foreign organisations doing business in Australia, including through online services.

Bounce Global aligns all data handling, system security, and customer interaction processes with these updated obligations, ensuring transparency, accountability, and protection of all individuals’ rights.

Bounce, in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles set out in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), has commitment to ensuring that all reasonable steps are taken to protect the privacy of its consumers. This privacy statement outlines how personal information is collected, used, disclosed, held and destroyed by us.

This statement only applies to personal information collected, used, disclosed and held by Bounce and does not provide any advice on how data will be maintained or used by third parties that have access to this data. You are advised to contact the relevant third party for a copy of their privacy policy.

We may update this privacy statement from time to time. Any changes we may make to this privacy statement in the future will be posted on this page so please check back frequently.

Anonymity and Pseudonymity

Where lawful and practicable, Bounce allows individuals to remain anonymous or use a pseudonym when engaging with our services. However, in many cases, providing personal information is necessary for us to deliver our programs, support, or respond to enquiries.

Bounce is required to collect personal information from participants and other individuals in order to:

  • Process registrations;
  • Provide training which Bounce offer;
  • Provide support (including ICT support) for its technology;
  • Respond to queries, including queries regarding our products and services

To the extent possible, Bounce collects all personal information directly from the person whom the information is about. This includes personal information collected when an individual:

  • Completes a personal details form or registration form;
  • Contacts us;
  • Requests support from us; and
  • Visits our website(s) www.bounceglobal.net & www.thebounceprogram.bounceglobal.net

Bounce may also collect information via registration referral form, which is completed by an authorised third-party such as employment/work placement service providers, employers, registered training organisations and recruitment agents or brokers. We may also need to collect relevant personal information from other third-parties with or without your direct involvement or consent, however, this will not include sensitive information.

In some circumstances, we may need to collect additional personal information from you or collect personal information from you in a way which is not described in this privacy statement. Where this is the case, we will provide you with additional information which details the personal information we will collect from you and how we will use, hold and disclose that personal information.

In order to visit our website, we may collect information such as your IP address, device type, browser type, the website you visited immediately before our website(s), location data, the pages you access on our website(s), mouse clicks, mouse movements and scrolling activity, keystroke information that you enter on our website(s) and any other technical information collected by your operating system, browser or device.

We notify individuals where required at the time of collection.

If you decline to provide your personal information, Bounce may not be able to:

  • Provide the product or service you requested (including training services); or
  • Enter into a business relationship with you.

If Bounce receives personal information without having requested it (e.g., via a third-party or misdirected communication), we will determine whether it is reasonably necessary for our activities. If not, the information will be destroyed or de-identified as soon as practicable, unless required by law to retain it.

We will use our best efforts to ensure that the information you provide to us remains private and is used and disclosed only for the purposes for which it was collected, including the purposes specified in this privacy statement. We may also disclose your personal information:

  • To employment services providers or other third-party referrers who introduce you to us for the purpose of you undertaking a training course, other service offered to us, in each case to assist to achieve the objectives of the referral;
  • To third party organisations who provide services to us, including hosting, data processing, website development services and other outsourced services; and
  • To parties such as Commonwealth Department of Employment, Skills, Small & Family business, other government departments and regulatory bodies, to enable us to comply with applicable laws and regulatory obligations and respond to requests from Governmental and other public authorities.
  • When you are registered to this website, you will automatically be subscribed to our emailing services (Podio and/or Active Campaign) to ensure you receive email notifications regarding the program. This is only for program-based email notifications.

You can request access to, or correction of, the personal information we hold about you.

To make such a request, you will need to contact the Support department (using the details set out at the end of this privacy statement) in writing and specify the type(s) of personal information you wish to view and/or the correction(s) you require. You will be required to provide proof of identification before we can proceed with your request and, depending on the complexity of your request, we may charge a fee for processing requests for access to personal information.

In certain circumstances, we may not be able to tell you what personal information is held about you. In these circumstances, we will notify you to explain why we cannot provide you with the information and attempt to find alternative means to enable you to access your information. We will promptly update any personal information that is inaccurate, incomplete or out of date. If we do not agree that your information is inaccurate, incomplete or out of date, we will notify you and tell you the reason(s) why we do not agree with you. We will also tell you what you can do if you are not satisfied with our response.

We may store your personal information in hardcopy documents or electronically. Where applicable, storage of personal information (and the disposal of information when no longer required) is managed in accordance with the Australian Government’s records management regime. We ensure this by having such security measures as:

  • Storing electronic information on a secure server with restricted access; and
  • Storing paper-based documents securely on our premises.

We will take reasonable steps to destroy or permanently de-identify personal information when it is no longer required for any purpose.

Our information systems and files are kept secured from unauthorized access and our staff and contracted agents/service providers have been informed of the importance we place on protecting privacy and their role in helping us to do this. They are contractually bound to honour such privacy.

This site is protected by Google reCAPTCHA and the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply.

reCAPTCHA is used to protect our website from spam, abuse, and automated misuse. Information collected through reCAPTCHA is subject to Google’s privacy and security practices.

What Technologies Do We Use?

What Data is Collected?

  • Referral URLs (e.g., which site brought you to Bounce)
  • Interaction timestamps and duration of visits
  • Ad impressions and engagement with digital advertising

Cookies do not run programs or install malware and cannot access files on your device.

The Company’s website collects site visit data to better understand general user trends at an aggregate level and improve web performance, web services, and website maintenance.

To the extent that site visit data could make you identifiable, the Company will not attempt to identify individuals from the records the server automatically generates, unless required to do so as part of an internal investigation or for a law enforcement-related purpose, and then, only in compliance with the Privacy Laws as applicable.

The Company may also use site visit information for security audits to protect against threats from hackers, and for other law enforcement and security purposes.

The Company will not disclose any personal information collected as part of your site visit to a third-party without your consent, unless we are required or authorised to do so by law. As part of an investigation into suspected unlawful or improper activity, a law enforcement agency or government agency may exercise its legal authority to inspect the web server’s records (for example, in relation to hacking or abusive messages).

Bounce Global may provide access to AI-powered tools and learning support systems, including Coaching Compass.

Coaching Compass is designed to operate using hypothetical or de-identified scenarios only and does not require users to enter personal, confidential, sensitive, or identifiable information.

Users must not enter personal, confidential, sensitive, or identifiable information into Coaching Compass or any other Bounce AI system unless expressly authorised to do so.

Conversations with Coaching Compass may be stored within Microsoft’s Power Platform environment and may be reviewed by authorised Bounce personnel for governance, quality assurance, safety, compliance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement purposes.

Coaching Compass conversation records are subject to organisational retention and deletion controls and are managed in accordance with applicable privacy, security, and records management obligations.

Bounce may use your personal information to contact you with updates about our programs, services, events, and offers. You can opt out of marketing communications at any time by clicking “unsubscribe” in our emails or by contacting us directly.

Bounce Global may use third-party service providers, including cloud-based platforms, to store and process personal information. Some of these services may be hosted in or operate from overseas locations, including but not limited to the United States, Singapore, and Ireland.

This includes services such as:

  • Google Workspace (email, document storage)
  • Microsoft 365 (business collaboration tools)
  • AWS (Amazon Web Services) or other secure data hosting services
  • CRM, learning management, or analytics platforms that use global infrastructure

We take reasonable steps to ensure that any overseas provider does not breach the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs), including through:

  • Binding contractual terms that require compliance with Australian privacy standards
  • Use of reputable, secure platforms with certified data protection standards (e.g., ISO/IEC 27001)
  • Assessing risks prior to engaging new third-party platforms
  • Ensuring multi-factor authentication and data encryption where applicable

Bounce does not sell or trade personal information to any overseas entity.

By engaging with Bounce programs and services, you consent to your personal information being stored or processed outside Australia, where such arrangements are in place to maintain equivalent or stronger protections.

Bounce does not adopt, use, or disclose government-related identifiers (such as Medicare numbers or Tax File Numbers) for identification purposes unless required or authorised under law or a contract with a government agency.

The Company and its employees have a legislative obligation to protect your personal information by taking all reasonable steps to ensure that the information we hold is protected from misuse, loss, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. Specifically, access to systems, applications and the collected data is restricted to authorised personnel only.

In addition, any personal information collected and used to identify user trends (such as IP addresses) is aggregated and made anonymous during report generation.

You have the right to access personal information we hold about you and to request corrections if you believe the information is inaccurate, outdated, incomplete, irrelevant, or misleading.

How to Make a Request

To access or correct your personal information, please submit a written request to our Privacy Officer. Your request should include:

  • Your full name and contact details
  • A description of the information you are requesting access to or wish to correct
  • Proof of identity (e.g., driver’s licence or passport)

Our Process

  • We will acknowledge your request within 5 business days.
  • A full response will be provided within 30 calendar days, as required under the Privacy Act.
  • If access or correction is granted, we will take all reasonable steps to provide or update the information.

Refusals and Explanation

In some circumstances, we may refuse access or correction, such as when:

  • Access would pose a serious threat to health or safety
  • The request would unreasonably impact another person’s privacy
  • The request is frivolous or vexatious
  • The information is subject to legal privilege

If we refuse your request, we will provide:

  • A written explanation of the reasons
  • Information about how you can complain or seek review (internally or with the OAIC)

We will not charge a fee for requests to access or correct personal information. However, we may charge a reasonable administrative fee for the time taken to collate and provide access to the requested information.

Bounce Global takes your privacy seriously. If you have a concern about how your personal information has been collected, used, disclosed, or managed, you have the right to make a complaint.

How We Handle Complaints

  • We will acknowledge your complaint within 5 business days.
  • We will aim to provide a written response and resolution within 30 calendar days.
  • If your complaint is complex or requires further investigation, we will keep you informed of progress and timelines.

We will make every reasonable effort to resolve your complaint fairly and promptly. If you are dissatisfied with our response or handling of your complaint, you may escalate it to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).
